Photo & Video Policy

At Cultivate Homeschool Co-op, we love celebrating the learning, creativity, and friendships that take place each week. Throughout the year, we may take photographs or short videos during classes, special events, field trips, performances, and other co-op activities.

These images help us share the story of our community with current and prospective homeschool families. They allow parents to see the engaging experiences their children enjoy and help other families discover what Cultivate has to offer.

Photos and videos may be used for purposes such as:

Our website
Social media pages
Printed brochures and promotional materials
Newsletters
Event displays or presentations
Other communications related to Cultivate Homeschool Co-op

Our Commitment to Your Family

We understand that every family has different comfort levels regarding photography, and we respect those preferences.

When sharing images, we strive to:

Use photographs that positively represent our students and community.
Focus on activities, learning experiences, and group participation rather than individual close-up portraits whenever possible.
Avoid publishing students' full names alongside photographs without additional parental permission.
Never sell or provide photographs of students to third parties for marketing purposes.
Use images only in ways that support the mission and ministry of Cultivate Homeschool Co-op.

Your Choice

Photography participation is completely optional.

During registration, every family will have the opportunity to indicate whether they give permission for their child(ren) to appear in photographs or videos used by Cultivate.

Families who choose not to grant permission will have their preference noted, and our staff and volunteers will make every reasonable effort to avoid including those students in photographs or videos intended for publication.

While we work diligently to honor every family's wishes, we ask for your understanding that complete avoidance cannot always be guaranteed during large group activities or public events where photography may occur. We will, however, check before sharing any photos online. If any child's face is visible, we will make every attempt to check with families for permission before sharing.

Changing Your Decision

We understand that circumstances change. Parents may update or withdraw their photo permission at any time by contacting Cultivate Homeschool Co-op in writing.

Once we receive your request, we will make every reasonable effort to stop using your child's image in future publications. However, we may not be able to remove materials that have already been printed, distributed, or previously published.
