How to Enroll in the Co-op

It's finally here! Enrollment is open!
This is our very first year of operation, and many hours have gone into making all of this happen. As things begin, I'm sure there will be adjustments to make, and we thank you for your patience.
We are eager to start serving our homeschooling community!
The enrollment form is online, but before you scroll down to find that link, READ THIS FIRST! (Or watch it, we have this information in video form over on our Youtube channel.)
NOTE - the enrollment form for the following sessions will not be this long! This first one is where we get your information, you sign things, etc.
If you return for another session in the same school year, we'll just need to know what courses you want for your children!
Check Your Schedule
Make sure the upcoming session works for your schedule.
Cultivate Homeschool Co-op runs on Mondays from 2:00pm - 5:00 pm, for 4 weeks at a time throughout the school year.
Our first session is August 31st, September 7th, September 14th, and September 21st. (Yes, we realize September 7th is Labor Day. We will work around anyone who needs to miss that day because of holiday plans.)
If this schedule looks good to you - we'll move on!
Choose Your Courses
It's good to have an idea of what courses you want for each child before you start filling out the enrollment form. So let me break that down for you.
This first session has limited courses, but we have so many wonderful ideas and plan to continue adding new courses as we grow!
Here's what we have available for the first session:
If you have a baby, toddler, or preK student, you would choose that room for all three hours.
If you have a primary student (KG - 6th grade), you have three choices for Hour 1: Music, Art, or Science. Want them to do all three?? No worries! Pick one for this session, and change it up next session!
Hour 2, the secondary students (7th - 12th) have those same three choices. The subject is the same, but the content is adjusted to be grade appropriate.
Hour 3, you have the same choices for all students. This session we are offering Sign Language, Reading Lab, and Math Tutoring / ACT prep.
What if you have multiple children in the same level?
What if you feel your child is somewhere on the edge of the divide, but might do best in a younger or older group?
One fun thing about homeschooling is that we get to be flexible, and you can make choices about what you think will work best for your children! If you have any specific questions about your schedule, feel free to reach out (message on facebook, or email at cultivatehomeschoolco@gmail.com)
Personally, I have three children in the Primary age range, and I will be enrolling them in separate classes, and alternating them through the sessions. But again, the choice is yours!
Check the Links at the Bottom of the Form
Wait! Don't click that enrollment link yet!
This enrollment form works a little more smoothly if you're on a computer, because the links at the bottom will open in another tab. You can open the links, and then just click back to your original tab, no problem!
If you're filling the enrollment form out on your phone, do this first!
Open the form, and scroll straight down to the bottom.
You'll see a few check boxes with links, and it looks like this:
Before you start filling out your information at the top of the page:
Click those links. You can read through the Parent Handbook and Photo and Video Release Consent (both of these take you to a page right here on our website).
Later when you actually fill out the form, you can check that you've read them.
The Activity Participation Agreement is a little more tricky, because it actually opens a separate form. Our very gracious host church is allowing us to use their beautiful facility, but have asked that we fill out this agreement for insurance purposes.
Once you fill out that Activity Participation Agreement, you're ready to go!
When you get to the bottom of your enrollment form, you'll just check that you've done all those things.
Payment
At the bottom of the enrollment form, there is an option to pay with a card right there. If you prefer paying with cash or check, let us know! We accept those payments in person on the first week of the session, if we don't see you before then.
Cost for one student is $25 for the 4 week session, and $5 for each additional child. (So if I have 4 children, it would cost $40 to enroll them all in that session.)
This money covers materials, supplies, and quality instructors.
We will continue to do fundraising to keep these prices low, and offer scholarships when needed.
If you want to enroll your children, but this cost isn't possible for you - check with us about scholarship options!
Some volunteer positions offer scholarships! While every parent has to volunteer during the co-op time, some positions go over and above - such as coming early to set up or staying late to clean up.

Parent Volunteer Choices
Oh you thought you were done? So close!
After you've enrolled, we'll be sending you yet another form. This will give you the options for your own volunteer positions.
Most people will be volunteering as classroom support - but you may select your top choice of classes to volunteer! You may volunteer in the class with your student, or another class, whatever works best for you.
Here's my favorite part - you only have to volunteer for 2 hours! We'll have a parent lounge set up, with coffee and snacks, so you get to take some time to yourself for that hour. You could call it the Social Hour for the grown-ups!
Class Dojo for Communication Moving Forward
Once you've enrolled, we'll be adding your children to their classes on Class Dojo. You'll receive an invitation via email or text, and create your own parent log-in.
This is where you will connect with the classroom teachers, see school or class announcements, and it will generally be the center of communication for things concerning the co-op.
If you need to bring any certain supplies to a class, your teacher will let you know there.
You can also message the teacher or myself with any additional questions as we get started.
