How to Enroll in the Co-op

Enrollment for Session 2 is open!
If you have already attended a previous session, you should have the link to a shorter form to enroll in these new courses.
This is our very first year of operation, and many hours have gone into making all of this happen. As things continue, I'm sure there will be adjustments to make, and we thank you for your patience.
We are eager to serve our homeschooling community!
The enrollment form is online, but before you scroll down to find that link, READ THIS FIRST! (Or watch it, we have this information in video form over on our Youtube channel.)
NOTE - the enrollment form for the following sessions will not be this long! This first one is where we get your information, you sign things, etc.
Check Your Schedule
Make sure the upcoming session works for your schedule.
Cultivate Homeschool Co-op runs on Mondays from 2:00pm - 5:00 pm, for 4 weeks at a time throughout the school year.
Our second session is October 12th, October 19th, October 26th, and November 2nd.
If this schedule looks good to you - we'll move on!
Choose Your Courses
It's good to have an idea of what courses you want for each child before you start filling out the enrollment form. So let me break that down for you.
These are the courses available during the second session, but we have so many wonderful ideas and plan to continue adding new courses as we grow!
Here's what we have available this time:
If you have a baby, toddler, we offer childcare in the Infant/Toddler Room.
If students are ages 3-4, they will be in the PreK Class! Even students up to 6 years old can be in here if it is a good fit for them. This session, PreK is learning about the ocean! They will study the ocean through sensory play, read-aloud stories, songs, activities, and crafts. They will also reinforce letters and sounds for students learning to read.
For School-age students, here are the options:
Hour 1:
Math Lab - Building math skills through fun, hands-on games designed for different learning levels.
American Tall Tales - Learning about 4 American Tall Tales through books, songs, discussion, and activities.
Art - Watercolor - This is a basic course in watercolor for those who didn't get a chance to join in last session.
Hour 2 - Social Hour
There will be a variety of activities available in the large Family Life Center, and students will have free choice during that time. This will include games like checkers, chess, and connect 4, crafts, and various independent science and STEM activities. We will also have an optional outdoor time when weather permits.
Hour 3
Handycraft - Basket Weaving - Students will learn about basic basket weaving techniques, and create their own small baskets.
Science - Microbiology - Students will learn the difference between animal and plant cells, create models of each, and even look through a microscope at some real-life examples.
Reading Lab - For students who need some extra practice reading. We're adjusting a little from last session, but there will still be independent reading practice, reading games, and one-on-one reading practice with an adult. *NOTE - if the student is still working on letter recognition and letter-sound connections, the PreK room may be a better fit!

This enrollment form works a little more smoothly if you're on a computer, because the links at the bottom will open in another tab. You can open the links, and then just click back to your original tab, no problem!
If you're filling the enrollment form out on your phone, do this first!
Open the form, and scroll straight down to the bottom.
You'll see a few check boxes with links, and it looks like this:
Before you start filling out your information at the top of the page:
Click those links. You can read through the Parent Handbook and Photo and Video Release Consent (both of these take you to a page right here on our website).
Later when you actually fill out the form, you can check that you've read them.
The Activity Participation Agreement is a little more tricky, because it actually opens a separate form. Our very gracious host church is allowing us to use their beautiful facility, but have asked that we fill out this agreement for insurance purposes.
Once you fill out that Activity Participation Agreement, you're ready to go!
When you get to the bottom of your enrollment form, you'll just check that you've done all those things.
Payment
At the bottom of the enrollment form, there is an option to pay with a card right there. If you prefer paying with cash or check, let us know! We accept those payments in person on the first week of the session, if we don't see you before then.
Cost for one student is $25 for the 4 week session, and $5 for each additional child. (So if I have 4 children, it would cost $40 to enroll them all in that session.)
This money covers materials, supplies, and quality instructors.
We will continue to do fundraising to keep these prices low, and offer scholarships when needed.
If you want to enroll your children, but this cost isn't possible for you - check with us about scholarship options!
Some volunteer positions offer scholarships! While every parent has to volunteer during the co-op time, some positions go over and above - such as coming early to set up or staying late to clean up.

Parent Volunteer Choices
Don't forget - we are a cooperative, and only work with YOUR help!
Most people will be volunteering as classroom support - but you may select your top choice of ways to volunteer! You may volunteer in the class with your student, or another class, whatever works best for you.
Here's my favorite part - you only have to volunteer for 2 hours! We'll have a parent lounge set up, with coffee and snacks, so you get to take some time to yourself for that hour. You could call it the Social Hour for the grown-ups!
Class Dojo for Communication Moving Forward
Once you've enrolled, we'll be adding your children to their classes on Class Dojo. You'll receive an invitation via email or text, and create your own parent log-in.
This is where you will connect with the classroom teachers, see school or class announcements, and it will generally be the center of communication for things concerning the co-op.
If you need to bring any certain supplies to a class, your teacher will let you know there.
You can also message the teacher or myself with any additional questions as we get started.
